The Dances of Universal Peace
The Dances of Universal Peace involve teaching a song, and then a simple folk dance like dance, with acoustic musicians in the center. The idea of the dances is that we sing songs representing all the beautiful stuff that most folk can feel good about---about love, peace, kindness, thankfulness, joy etc. It is an inclusive way for folk of any faith to commune together, and a kind of moving, singing meditation.
Or in words from the website: *The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative, and joyous circle dances. They use sacred phrases, chants, movements, and music from the world’s wisdom traditions. There are no performers, no audience members, and no experience is necessary. “
Note that this is a family activity for which all ages are welcome.
