Return to Love*

he primary objectives and purposes of this Chapter shall be to conduct activities that support its mission, which is to sponsor monthly dance circles, an annual camp, and additional events and promotional activities to continue to offer the Dances of Universal peace, embodied spiritual practices and related teachings to the larger community and spread the enjoyment thereof. These events shall be organized and focused by dance leaders and dancers primarily in and from California with the option to occasionally invite senior teachers and/or guest leaders.

All sponsored activities will be intentionally welcoming to the full breath of humanity including typically marginalized groups, such as people of color and LGBTQ. It is also the objective of this Chapter to keep these events at low enough cost for all interested persons to attend

Further objective and purposes shall include to:

·      Provide a meeting ground for creating community among dancers from many circles in Samuel Lewis’ peace program: eat, dance, pray together

·      Be spiritually nourished by the Dances of Universal Peace

·      Specially include and offer opportunities for budding musicians and dance leaders

·      Celebrate our elders and their contributions

·      Bring our peace practices in support of our common humanity at vigils, marches, and protests that speak to caring for all human beings and the planet

·      Increase access and awareness of the dances, through bringing them to the people and extending the invitation far and wide.
